Empowering Families Through Knowledge
Families United offers a variety of training programs, workshops, and educational resources tailored to meet the needs of families, self-advocates, educators, and community service providers. Whether you’re navigating the IEP process or seeking to better understand developmental services, we have the tools and training to support you.

Parent and Caregiver Workshops
Our workshops are designed to help parents and caregivers understand the services and supports available to their children, how to access those services, and how to advocate for their needs. Topics include but are not limited to:

Educational Advocacy

Leadership and Advocacy Programs
Our Navigators to Leaders program transforms parents, caregivers, and self-advocates into strong community leaders and advocates. This 12-week leadership training equips participants with the skills to become resource navigators in their communities, assisting other families in accessing services and advocating for their rights.
Graduates of the program become peer mentors and leaders, helping to drive change and support others.

Community Education and Awareness
We offer community education workshops to raise awareness about developmental disabilities, early intervention, and the importance of equitable access to services. These workshops are open to community organizations, service providers, and the general public.
